Car vs. Motorcycle Leaves One With Life-Threatening Injuries in Barron County

BARRON, Wis -- At 4:19 PM on Thursday, May 04, 2017 a crash occurred on US 8 WB at County Hwy - W in BARRON County near BARRON.

Assisting agencies included Barron Co. Sheriff’s Dept, Barron Fire Department, Barron EMS, and Life Link.

The details of the crash are as follows:

On 5/4/17 at approximately 4:19 PM the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a 2-vehicle crash on USH-8 at the CTH-W intersection east of the City of Barron. The crash involved an automobile and a motorcycle.

Initial investigation indicates an eastbound automobile was stopped on Hwy 8 attempting to make a left-hand turn onto County Highway W when it turned into the path of a westbound motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was flown from the scene by Life Link to Mayo in Eau Claire. The driver of the automobile was transported by ambulance to Barron Memorial Hospital.

The Crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
