Charges have been filed in Burnett County against 53-year-old Grantsburg man for exposing his genitals to a child.

According to the criminal complaint, a Burnett County social worker conducted a forensic interview with the female victim who is 16 years old. The incident occurred on March 3, 2017. The alleged victim stated that she and another female, who is 8 years old, were in the residence where the incident occurred and were dancing around in the living room when Keith Christenson stated that he wanted to video tape them and then play it on the television.

Christenson was reportedly walking around in boxer shorts and a button up shirt at the time. The alleged victim told Christenson to “put clothes on”, however, he did not. Early the next morning, on March 4, 2017, the alleged victim stated that she was sleeping on a couch in the living room of the residence while the 8-year-old alleged victim was asleep on a chair in the same room.

The criminal complaint continues, stating that Christenson reportedly came into the living room and called the alleged victim's name several times, and asked if she was okay. She replied that she was. Christenson then sat in a chair near the alleged victim. The alleged victim stated to investigators that she saw that Christenson was naked when he got up from the chair. Christenson then went into the hallway and was reportedly masturbating and asked the victim if she wanted to rub him and "jack him off”.

The alleged victim's statement in the criminal complaint goes on to say that she pretended she went back to sleep. The alleged victim stated that Christenson asked her if she was going to get him into trouble.

According to public record, Christenson appeared in Burnett County Circuit Court on his felony charges on April 26, 2017. Christenson also has charges for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a separate Burnett County Circuit Court case. Judge Kenneth Kutz ordered that Christenson is not allowed to have any contact with the alleged victim in this case and placed him on a $2,500 signature bond. At the time of this post, public record does not indicate when Christenson's next court hearing will be held.
