POLK COUNTY -- A tragic two-vehicle crash occurred in Osceola, Wisconsin, on October 6th, 2023, at around 8:15a, prompting immediate response from local emergency services. Matthew Barilla from Forest Lake, MN, one of the drivers involved, sustained life-threatening injuries and tragically passed away despite efforts at Osceola Medical Center. The second driver, Conner Parson from Osceola, WI, suffered minor injuries, according to a press release from the Osceola Police Department.

On Friday, October 6th, 2023, at approximately 8:15 a.m., Osceola Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to a 2-vehicle accident in front of 657 STH 35, in the Village of Osceola.
One driver, identified as Matthew Barilla from Forest Lake, MN, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was transported to the Osceola Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The other driver, identified as Conner Parson from Osceola, WI, suffered minor injuries.
Neither vehicle had passengers.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash.
Other agencies assisting include the Polk County Sheriff's Office and the St. Croix Falls Police Department.
