A jury trial is scheduled in Burnett County Circuit Court for a Hertel, WI woman charged with sexually assaulting an underage boy.

According to the criminal complaint, on November 18, 2014, the Burnett County Sheriff's Department received a complaint that an 11-year old boy had been sexually assaulted. According to the individual who made the complaint, her grandson (for whom she is the legal guardian) had spent the night at another residence and while there was allegedly sexually assaulted by Violet Reynolds, who was 34 years of age at the time of the incident.

The initial complaint received by law enforcement stated that Reynolds had sexual intercourse with the 11-year old male victim. The complaint states that this was corroborated when investigators conducted interviews with the victim who gave a clear statement to investigators about the assault. The victim stated that Reynolds grabbed his privates and told him she would beat him up if he didn't keep quiet and have sex with her. The victim stated to investigators that since Reynolds is an adult and much heavier than he, he knew she wouldn't stop until she wanted to. The criminal complaint states that the victim told investigators that after the first assault, Reynolds assaulted him again that same night.

According to the victim's statements, the assaults occurred after dark after all the other people in the residence had gone to bed.

The criminal complaint goes on to state that when investigators conducted further interviews with other parties, it was revealed that Reynolds later told more than one person about the sexual assault, referring to the 11-year old victim as her 'new man', and stating that she could get in a lot of trouble for what had happened.

Statements given to investigators from some of the other children who had been at the residence on November 14, 2014, described Reynolds interacting with the young male victim flirtatiously; rubbing his hair, and kissing him.

Reynolds has been charged with two counts of Class B Felony 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault – Intercourse with a Person Under 12.
