In Memory of Bradford D. Mack

December 21, 1967 - February 3, 2024

Bradford Donald Mack, age 56, of Grantsburg passed away on Feb. 3, 2023, tragically in a house fire. He was born on Dec. 21, 1967, in Grantsburg, WI, the fifth of eight children to the late Donald and Elsie (Ernst) Mack.

After attending Grantsburg Schools, he began a lifelong career in the truck driving business and drove semi-trucks for various companies. Although he remained a Grantsburg resident, his passion for truck driving allowed him to travel the United States.

He especially enjoyed sports, baseball, softball and football. He was a proud Minnesota Vikings fan. Every year he would organize a family softball game, The Elsie C. Mack Memorial softball game, for friends and family to join. He also loved music and could name almost every artist after just a few seconds into the song before anyone else. He would always be willing to help anyone who needed help.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Donald and Elsie Mack; and his beloved cat, Squeakers.

He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Joan (Dale) Madsen-Kirchner, Rhonda Mack, Lona Mack, Ronald Mack, Candy (Steve Larson) Mack, Jill Mack and Kari (Mark) Schwartzbauer; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends which he loved so much.

“When one guy would move away, we never replaced him on the team with anyone else. We just kept the game going like he was still there.” Rest in peace SuperStar.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 1-5 pm at the Grantsburg American Legion, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
