In Memory of Neoma Lucille (Anderson) Potterton


Neoma Lucille (Anderson) Potterton, age 96, passed away on October 18, 2016, at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie, Wisconsin surrounded by her loving family.

Neoma was born June 2, 1920, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, to Charles and Maggie Anderson. She married Lloyd Potterton in Dodgeville on June 2, 1941, and they celebrated 63 years of life together. She lived in Spooner, Wisconsin, from 1945-2012. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Spooner and was involved in community and church activities.

Neoma was a resident of Autumn Village in Menomonie the past four years, where she made many new friends and enjoyed the activities, such as bingo, bean bags and other contests.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lloyd.

Neoma is survived by her children: Shirley (Nick) Kaiser of Menomonie, WI; Tom (Ellen) of Ashland, WI; 4 grandchildren: Stacy (Don) Price of Newberry, MI; Nick (Jennifer) Kaiser of Wheeler, WI; Joshua (Lisa) Potterton of Honolulu, HI: and Nathan (Jeromelle Manuel) Potterton of Minneapolis, MN; 4 great grandchildren: Montanna, Alexia, Grant Kaiser and Olivia Neoma Price; one brother, Gene (Carol) Anderson; three sisters-in-law: Janie (George Macintyre) Anderson, Mary Ellen Jewell and Ann Snyder; many relatives and friends; and her Autumn Village family.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on October 24, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran, 1790 Scribner Street, Spooner, WI (across from the Spooner Elementary School). Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Lunch will be served after the service.

Interment will be at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
