POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - The Court has accepted a settlement arrangement including a 10-year deferred agreement, and jail time for a Polk County man who was facing numerous charges for sex crimes against children. Matthew Dreger, age 19, of St. Croix Falls, was charged criminally in 2021. The 11-page criminal complaint alleged that Dreger sexually assaulted two juveniles. Dreger would have been 17 at the time of the assaults. A jury trial was originally scheduled on the charges filed against Dreger, however, he appeared for a recent court hearing, changed his plea on several charges, and was sentenced.
