10-Year-Old Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Osceola

POLK COUNTY — A 10-year-old child is in critical but stable condition after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Osceola, according to a press release from the Osceola Police Department.

May 6, 2025

On Monday, May 5, 2025, at approximately 4:21pm, the Osceola Police Department responded to the area of Seminole Avenue at Madison Street for a report of a one-vehicle traffic crash involving a juvenile pedestrian.

Officers arrived on scene and located an injured 10-year-old juvenile who was immediately transported by ambulance and later by Life Link to receive medical treatment.

At the time of this release the juvenile is in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene following the collision and was identified as a 55-year-old man from St. Paul, MN, and has cooperated with law enforcement throughout this investigation.

To thoroughly investigate the crash scene, Seminole Avenue between Margaret Street and State Street was closed to traffic on May 5, 2025, from approximately 4:38pm until 8:19pm. The Osceola Police Department requested assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit (TRU) who responded and assisted with processing the scene. This incident is currently under investigation by the Osceola Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol.
