11th Annual Food and Wine Tasting Benefit

11th Annual Food and Wine Tasting Benefit

The 11th Annual Food and Wine Tasting Benefit will take place on Thursday, May 3rd at Heartwood Conference Center and Retreat. This year, the beneficiary is Brad Grossen and Family.

Brad Grossen is an employee at Spooner Machine. Early one morning, Brad was making repairs to a water table when an explosion occurred causing Brad to be thrown from the table to the floor. An ambulance was called immediately. The explosion caused Brad to sustain life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Twin Cities for hospitalization immediately.

The 29-year-old is married to Kyria Grossen and has two boys; a 1 and 3-year-old. While the injuries Brad sustained were life-threatening, Brad is now stable and on his way to recovery.

The original beneficiaries chosen, Spooner Railroad Park and Lakeland Family Resources, generously decided to donate their spots to the Grossen family.

Their generosity is greatly appreciated by the Spooner Chamber and community. We hope that in light of this tragedy the Spooner Community and surrounding areas will come together to benefit the Grossen family.

Come out to this awesome event and support our community member. Great prizes including gift baskets, international resort vacations, gifts from the Green Bay Packers, and more!

Tickets are $25 and are available online at http://www.spoonerchamber.org/, and at the Spooner Chamber office before the event. Tickets are also available at the door. Check out our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/spoonerchamber/
