On June 30, 2017, Sawyer County Sheriff's Deputies, the Sawyer County SWAT Team and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant on a residence located on Oak Rd. in the Town of Hunter. As a result of the search warrant, one male suspect, Koutkeo Lovan, age 39 of Crystal, MN and one female suspect, Elizabeth A. Reed, age 23 of Hayward, WI, were arrested. Lovan was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver. Reed was arrested for Forgery. You are advised that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The investigation was conducted by the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office, the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation and the Lac Court Oreilles Police Department. The cases are being prosecuted by the Sawyer County District Attorney's Office.
