2 Arrested for Alleged Involvement in Distribution of Heroin in Sawyer Co.

SAWYER COUNTY, Wis. -- On June 12, 2017, one male suspect and one female suspect were arrested for their alleged involvement in the distribution of heroin in Sawyer County. The male suspect has been identified as Oakley C. Kagigebi age 27; the female suspect has been identified as Veronica J.S. Belille, age 26. During this investigation, amounts of heroin were purchased and seized from both Kagigebi and Belille. Both are currently incarcerated in the Sawyer County Jail.

This investigation was conducted by the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office and the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the City of Hayward Police Department and the LCO Conservation Department. Prosecution is being handled by the Sawyer County Assistant District Attorney Aaron Marcoux.
