2-Vehicle Crash Leads to One Arrest for OWI in Polk Co.

Polk County Captain Dale Hall stated to DrydenWire.com this evening, Monday, February 6, 2017, that on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at approximately 6:18 P.M., the Polk County Sheriff's Office had received a call regarding a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 35 near fire number 941 - near Boyd’s Power Sports.

Hall stated that there were two vehicles involved in the incident; first was identified as a Chevrolet Silverado, which was driven by Mickey L. Pugsley, a 56-year-old male from rural Osceola. Pugsley was injured and transported to the Osceola Medical Center and later taken into custody for allegedly Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated, Third Offense, With Injury.

There were 2 adults and 2 juveniles in the other vehicle.

"The two juveniles sustained incapacitating injuries", stated Hall. “It is unknown what type of injuries the two adults sustained.”

Names of these individuals are not being released at this time.

Hwy 35 was closed for approximately 30 minutes.

Polk County WI Scanner 1st reported the incident last night on their Facebook page.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Osceola Police Department, Dresser Fire Department and first responders, Osceola Ambulance Service and Lakes Area Ambulance Service.
