GRANTSBURG, WI -- A 57-year-old woman had died following a single-vehicle crash in Burnett County, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff's Office.
(Press Release) -- On Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:30, the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 70 near Soderbeck Road in the Town of Grantsburg.
Initial investigation and witness statements indicate that Sandra D’Jock, 57, of Eagan, MN had been operating a 2017 Mazda eastbound on State Highway 70 when she crossed the centerline, nearly striking an oncoming vehicle; then entered the north ditch and struck a tree. D’Jock was transported by EMS to Burnett Medical Center in Grantsburg where she later died. D’Jock was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Grantsburg Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance also responded to this incident.
No further information will be released at this time; investigation continues by the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office.
