Weekly Wag from the Humane Society of Burnett County
HSBC’s Pick of the Litter adoption special for kittens is still in full swing-adopt the first at a discount, pick out another at the price of a donation. There are still several to choose from, and they are all friendly, curious, affectionate and like to explore and play.
If kittens aren’t for you, there are also a few adults who are willing to fill your home with cuddles.
If you’re looking for a handsome, loving and sweet young adult, then look no further. Tommy is a grey and white medium to long-haired two-year-old with a face full of white whiskers. He has an affectionate, sweet personality and gets along with kids. Tommy enjoys ear rubs and petting of all kinds. He is a hundred pounds of love in a gentle, nine-pound package that he is waiting to share with a family he can call his own.
If you’re looking for a well-rounded young adult cat, Hazel is that and more. Hazel is a petite seven pounds, one-year old, and sports brown tabby-patterned short fur. She gets along well with cats and kids, and she has also lived with dogs. Hazel is friendly and gentle, loves attention and is happy to curl up with you. But she also likes to play with toys and investigate crackly things like plastic bags.
And then there’s Cassie. Cassie is the 13-year-old Siamese mix profiled a month or so ago. She is still waiting at the shelter for a quiet home where she can be the only pet. HSBC wants this affectionate older lady to have that home, and they are prepared to waive her adoption fee to make it happen. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion without the drama of youth, please consider Cassie. If you missed her profile, you can see her on the website under Available Pets or come by the shelter during public hours.
