Update #2: DrydenWire.com has learned this evening from multiple sources close to this situation that the death of Ryan Gedart is not being considered or investigated as accidental.  We have also learned that DCI is handling this investigation.  


Update #1DrydenWire.com has learned that the body of Ryan Gedart (obituary) is currently at Regions Hospital in Ramsey County Minnesota undergoing an autopsy. DrydenWire has also learned that the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has also been contacted to assist, or possibly lead, in the investigation.

Press Release - On [Sunday] 06/18/17 at 6:43 a.m. Sawyer County Deputies, assisted by Sawyer County EMTs and a Sawyer County Paramedic responded to Tag Alder Road near the Tag Alder Creek Bridge in the Town of Lenroot, after the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office Dispatch received a call of a male lying face down in the roadway. After Deputies' and EMS personnel's arrival the male was found to be deceased at the scene. The deceased male has been identified as Ryan A. Gedart, age 21 of Hayward.

This incident remains under investigation; no additional information is available at this time.
