38-Year-Old Cameron Woman Killed in One-Vehicle Crash

BARRON COUNTY — A 38-year-old woman from Cameron, WI, died Wednesday evening following a one-vehicle crash south of Cameron, according to a press release from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 18th, 2026 at 7:44 P.M. the Barron County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting a one vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road SS and 21st Street, south of Cameron.

Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff’s Department along with the Cameron Fire Department, Chetek Ambulance and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene.

The initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling north on 21st Street south of County Road SS and the operator lost control of the vehicle at the rail road crossing on 21st Street causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and hit some trees on 21st Street north of County Road SS.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 38 year old female from Cameron, WI was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The case remains under investigation by the Barron County Sheriff’s Department and the Barron County Medical Examiner’s Office.
