4 Question Friday: Real Estate Solutions Broker Associate, Ray Van Gilder

RICE LAKE, WI -- For over 40 years Real Estate Solutions Broker Associate, Ray Van Gilder has been assisting the people of our area with their real estate needs. Ray has served many roles in the local real estate industry, as well as taking a special interest in the success of our area youth by serving 18 years on the Rice Lake Area’s Board of Education with 16 of those years served as the Board President. Ray has also been recognized for his admirable commitment to service as a recipient of the Realtors Community Service Award and multiple Realtor of the Year awards. In 2019, he was honored with a Distinguished Service Award and Emeritus Award for 40 years of service to the real estate industry.

We wanted to take a closer look at the man behind such an accomplished career, so we asked him four unconventional questions.

  4. What’s something people might not know about you? I served 31 years in the National Guard and was selected as a member of Wisconsin’s Military Academy Honor Roll. [What an amazing career of service to our area and our country! Thank you, Ray!]

Ray is one of the founding members of Real Estate Solutions and continues his illustrious career as a Broker Associate at their Main Street office in Rice Lake. He’s proud of our community and the many years he’s called it home. He enjoys the abundant recreational opportunities in the area, spending time with friends and family, watching his grandkids play sports, and most years prefers to enjoy the Wisconsin winters by traveling south to warmer destinations with his longtime companion, Geri.
