4-Wheeler Crash Near Dallas Leaves One In Critical Condition

BARRON COUNTY - On Sunday, the Barron County 911 Center received a distress call reporting a 4-Wheeler crash on the ATV trail just north of Dallas on 17th St. The incident prompted a swift and coordinated response from multiple emergency agencies., according to a press release from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., the Barron County 911 Center received a call of a 4-Wheeler accident on the ATV trail just north of Dallas on 17th St.

Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff’s Department along with the WI DNR, Dallas Ambulance, Mayo Ambulance, Dallas Fire Department, Barron County First Responders and Life Link Helicopter all responded to the scene.

Initial investigation shows a 16-year-old from Hillsdale lost control of his ATV on the ATV trail and it rolled over causing both occupants to be ejected from the ATV.

A 19-year-old male passenger from Fairchild was flown to Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire and is in critical condition and the 16-year-old was transported to Mayo Hospital in Barron with serious but non-life threatening injuries

The crash remains under investigation by Barron County Sheriff’s Department and the WI DNR.
