Six people will run for the Spooner Area School District (SASD) Board of Education (BOE) in the upcoming spring election on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
Five of the current seven seats will be voted on, while current BOE members Karen Sorenson and Kevin King have terms ending in 2019.
The remaining five members, including Robert Hoellen, Vicki Anderson, Paul Johnson, Nathaniel Melton, and Erin Burch, all have terms ending this year. Vicki Anderson will not be seeking re-election.
According to election papers filed by the 5 p.m. Tuesday deadline, the following SASD residents are running for a seat on the school board (in alphabetical order and not reflective of how names will appear on the ballot):
- Erin Burch*
- Robert Hoellen*
- Paul Johnson*
- Diana Maas
- Nathaniel Melton*
- Julie Rich
