70-Year-Old-Man Charged In Burnett With Sexual Assault Of Teen

BURNETT COUNTY -- A criminal complaint has been filed in Burnett County Circuit Court charging a 70-year-old Siren, WI man with sexual assault of a teen female after providing the teen with alcohol and drugs.

Charges were filed against Randolph Peckman, of Siren, WI, in December 2020 after law enforcement responded to a report of an alleged sexual assault on a teen female. The criminal complaint filed against Peckman states that on December 3, 2020, law enforcement in Burnett County received a report from a teen female alleging that she had been picked up by Peckman on the previous day while she was walking near the Village of Lewis.

Peckman took the teen female to the Village of Siren, WI, to a restaurant and provided her with alcohol and food, according to the criminal complaint. Peckman then took the teen female to his residence. While at the residence, Peckman provided the teen female with marijuana and tobacco. The criminal complaint states that Peckman removed her clothing and assaulted her with his hands and mouth.

The teen female was able to leave the residence after the alleged assault and walked to a business where she obtained a ride from someone who took her to the Village of Webster where she made contact with law enforcement.

The teen female provided descriptions to law enforcement of the man, his vehicle, and the property and residence that he took her to. Based upon that information law enforcement located a property belonging to Randolph Peckman, whose physical description matched the description provided by the teen.

A search warrant was obtained and executed on Peckman’s residence on December 7, 2020. Peckman was at the residence when law enforcement arrived. Law enforcement located multiple devices for smoking marijuana and a container holding marijuana inside the residence. Peckman was taken into custody.

Online circuit court records show that Peckman made an initial appearance in January 2021 regarding his criminal charges and is scheduled to appear again in March 2021. Records online do not contain information regarding any bail bond ordered for Peckman, however, online jail records show that Peckman has bonded out of Burnett County Jail.

Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
