WASHBURN COUNTY — A Washburn County man with seven prior OWI convictions has been sentenced to prison after authorities say he was found walking down the middle of a roadway following a reported erratic-driving incident near Minong, WI.
John Zunker, 58, was sentenced in Washburn County Circuit Court on September 23, 2026, for OWI, his 8th offense, stemming from the March 2026 incident, in which a passenger reportedly tried to get him to stop driving before he pulled over and walked away from the vehicle.
