Aaron Marcoux Discusses Judicial Campaign On DrydenWire Live

WASHBURN COUNTY — Washburn County District Attorney Aaron Marcoux joined Ben Dryden on DrydenWire Live Tuesday morning to discuss his candidacy for Washburn County Circuit Court Judge in the upcoming April 7, 2026, nonpartisan spring election.

During the live-streamed conversation, Marcoux discussed his decision to run for judge, his professional background within Wisconsin’s justice system, and his priorities if elected. Marcoux has served as Washburn County District Attorney since 2019 and was elected to the position in 2020 and 2024. Prior to that, he served as a Sawyer County Assistant District Attorney from 2015 to 2019 and as a Wisconsin Assistant State Public Defender from 2010 to 2015.

Throughout the conversation, Marcoux emphasized court efficiency, timely case resolution, and maintaining a fair and impartial judicial process as central themes of his campaign. He referenced publicly available court data showing increases in the average age of case disposition in Washburn County and spoke about the importance of process improvements and responsible case management to address backlogs.

The discussion also included topics such as court operations, public safety, case backlog concerns, and the role of a circuit court judge within the local justice system.

Marcoux is challenging incumbent Judge Angeline Winton-Roe in the April 7 election. Winton-Roe previously appeared on DrydenWire Live, giving voters the opportunity to hear directly from both candidates ahead of Election Day.
