(Release) On Monday November 21st, 2016 at approximately 06:30 AM, Washburn County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from Gregg Schindeldecker, 701 4th Ave. Shell Lake WI. Mr. Schindeldecker told our dispatcher that he believes he found his wife Charlene deceased in their home.

Deputy Sheriff’s along with North Ambulance responded to that address and did in fact find Charlene Schindeldecker, 60 years of age, deceased. The Washburn County coroner was called to the residence.

The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin Crime Lab Response Team, and the Wisconsin State Patrol for Forensic Mapping of the scene, were called to assist Washburn County Investigators, Shell Lake Police Department and Washburn County Coroner with the investigation into the cause and manner of her death.

On Tuesday the 22nd, an Autopsy was performed by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Anoka County MN.
