Former Wisconsin State Rep. Angie Sapik Announces Bid For State Senate In District 25

SUPERIOR, WI — At 11:00 AM today, former Wisconsin State Representative Angie Sapik announced her candidacy for State Senate in District 25 on the front steps of the Douglas County Courthouse.

A proud conservative Republican, Sapik is running to champion the values and priorities of Wisconsin’s 25th District. Angie Sapik, a dedicated advocate for individual liberties, is a staunch supporter of Second Amendment rights, hunting, and personal freedoms. She is also a vocal defender of the First Amendment, pro-life values, and environmental stewardship, with a deep commitment to preserving the natural beauty of Wisconsin, from the Apostle Islands to Crex Meadows.

Since leaving office in January, Sapik ran for county board as a write-in candidate and won two seats. Sapik served on the Post-Election Commission specializing in county elections as well as served as an electorate in the presidential race, casting her electoral vote for President Donald J. Trump. In addition, Sapik wrote a memoir about her experience in office which was recently published.

In addition to her support for fish and game, wildlife, and independent energy, Sapik spoke strongly about Wisconsin Corrections, stating, “Our jails and prisons are not equipped to facilitate the needs that a mental health facility can offer, nor should this be asked of them. […] A safe and secure prison and jail system that protects the safety of officers in turn will also have a positive effect on the safety of inmates, and I believe corrections officers, who work tirelessly with inmates 24 hours a day, should not have limited protections.”

Sapik has been married for thirteen years to her husband, Nate, and is a devoted mother to their two children, Calvin (8) and Reba (7). Her experience as a state representative and her deep roots in the community fuel her passion to serve the people of District 25.
