HAYWARD, WI — Ascension Episcopal Church in Hayward, the little Church with the Big Heart, donated $500.00 to WE BACK THE BLUE 4th annual event this Saturday at Twin Lakes Tap.

Last year BACK THE BLUE raised $13,000.00 for the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department to purchase protective vests for the SWAT Team.
The Back the Blue Event starts at 2 PM this Saturday the 22nd at Twin Lakes Tap, 12701 W. Highway 77, Hayward. This is a terrific way for the community to show support and say thank you to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department for everything they do for the Community. Again, this year, there will be a chicken dinner beginning at 5:00 PM. All chickens are donated by John Smithe and cooked by Todd Miller, his family, and friends. ALL PROCEEDS go directly to the purchase of equipment for the Sheriff's Department.
