UPDATE: Polk County Sheriff Brent Waak says that the Driver and Semi-Truck have been identified.

"Thank you to all who got our message out and shared the news story," Sheriff Brent Waak said in an updated press release to media to share with the community.

POLK COUNTY - Authorities in Polk County, WI, are asking for the public’s help following a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on July 12th that resulted in one death.

In a press release sent to DrydenWire.com on Monday, Sheriff Brent Waak states that the Polk County Sheriff's Office is seeking information to help identify the driver in the following Semi-Truck.

The driver is a witness to the fatal crash that occurred on July 12, 2023.

"We hope the driver will come forward. If anyone recognizes this truck or logo, please contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 715-485-8300."

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Joshua Nelson, from Balsam Lake, Wisconsin.
