Authorities Identify 15-Year-Old Killed In Polk County UTV Crash

POLK COUNTY — Officials have identified the juvenile who died in a weekend UTV crash in Polk County, according to an updated press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

UPDATE — The passenger who died in this crash was Alexa Peterson, age 15, from rural Osceola, Wisconsin.

Juvenile Killed, Another Injured In Polk County UTV Crash

POLK COUNTY — A juvenile was killed and another injured following a UTV crash Saturday evening in the Town of Farmington, according to a press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 7:04 PM, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a UTV crash involving 2 juveniles on 250th Street south of 20th Avenue in the Town of Farmington which is in southwestern Polk County.

The UTV, a 2013 Polaris Ranger XP, was Southbound on 250th Street when the driver lost control and rolled the UTV as it entered the west ditch.

The driver and the passenger were not wearing seatbelts or helmets.

The passenger was transported from the scene by air ambulance to Regions Hospital, but suffered fatal injuries. The driver was transported to the hospital by private vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.

Assisting with this crash was the Osceola Police, St Croix Falls Police, Osceola Fire Department, Osceola Area Ambulance, Lakes Region EMS, and North Air Care.

This crash remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
