Cumberland Man Sentenced to 48 Months for Conspiring to Distribute Meth

Reuben Tiegs, 54, of Cumberland, Wis., was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 48 months in prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine.  Tiegs plead guilty to this charge on September 21, 2016.

Tiegs conspired with others to distribute methamphetamine throughout Barron and Washburn Counties.  Judge Conley found that Tiegs had distributed at least 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine from August to March 2015.

The charge against Tiegs was the result of an investigation conducted by the Barron County Sheriff’s Department, the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation.  The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Antonio M. Trillo.
