This week’s episode promises to tackle timely and important topics affecting the community, including the recent announcement of a community informational meeting about the release of sex offenders in Barron County.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Office will host the meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at the Government Center, 335 E Monroe Ave, Barron. Sheriff Fitzgerald will share insights about the release of two Chapter 980 sex offenders, Keith Heacox and Eric Fankhauser, who will reside at 1744 12 ¾ St, Barron under strict supervision beginning December 19, 2024. Additionally, Sheriff Fitzgerald will discuss the release of a third individual, Joshua J. Johnson, scheduled for December 31, 2024, who will be homeless but monitored via GPS. A DHS Supervised Release Program Liaison and representatives from the Wisconsin Division of Community Corrections will be present at the meeting to address public questions and explain the supervision conditions for the individuals being released.
In addition to discussing the sex offender meeting, Ben and Fitzy will cover other local updates, including highlights from the “Shop with a Cop” program.
