Barron County Sheriff’s Dept. Introduces New Community Tools For Enhanced Public Safety

BARRON COUNTY -- The Barron County Sheriff’s Department is thrilled to announce the introduction of three innovative tools aimed at enhancing community safety and increasing public access to information, according to a press release from Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald.

PRESS RELEASE

The Barron County Sheriff’s Department is excited to announce the launch of three new community tools to increase your access to information. Over the next six weeks, the Sheriff’s Department will launch a new tip line, a crime information map and a way for you to help law enforcement with registering your camera locations.

This week, we are launching our new Community Tip Line through City Protect. This tool allows the relay of tips and information to law enforcement that will assist us in keeping our community safe together. Anyone can submit tips to the Sheriff’s Department by visiting cityprotect.com, selecting the Barron County Sheriff’s Department from the Agencies list and clicking on “Submit tips”. The City Protect link has been shared on our Facebook page and added to our website.

This new feature allows people to submit a tip anonymously. While we understand the reason for reporting an anonymous tip, you can be of more assistance by leaving us your contact information in the “Details” box of the tip screen. This would allow us to contact you with any questions and to follow up on your tip.

We are excited to launch these three community tools. In approximately two weeks, we will release our community crime map followed by our camera location registration tool approximately two week after that.
