BARRON COUNTY — A Cumberland, WI, woman who was arrested and subsequently charged after a months-long drug investigation has been sentenced in Barron County Circuit Court.
DrydenWire previously published a press release stating that throughout 2025 and into 2026, Officers with the Cumberland Police Department conducted a drug investigation into Courtney Bleifus and her residence. On January 21, 2026, Officers executed a search warrant at her residence with the assistance of the Barron/Rusk Emergency Response Team.
During the search, officers located methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Courtney Bleifus was arrested for:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of THC – 2nd Offense
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of Schedule I or II Narcotic (Fentanyl)
- Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child
- Neglecting a Child
Courtney Bleifus was transported to the Barron County Jail and has been formally charged.

Bleifus was placed on a $5,000 signature bond following her arrest and the filing of charges for Class H Felony Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child, Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Class I Felony Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Misdemeanor Possession of Cocaine, Misdemeanor Possession of THC, Misdemeanor Possess Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Neglecting a Child.
A jury trial was scheduled for August 3, 2026, regarding her charges; however, on July 29, 2026, Bleifus appeared for a plea and sentencing hearing. The Hon. Judge Maureen Boyle accepted a settlement agreement on the case, and Bleifus pleaded Guilty to her charges of Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Possession of Cocaine, and Misdemeanor Neglecting a Child. The remaining charges were dismissed and read in.
Bleifus received a withheld sentence with 2 years of probation. Conditions of her sentence include requirements to maintain absolute sobriety, complete an alcohol and other drug assessment, and follow through with recommendations. If her probation is revoked, Bleifus faces returning to court for additional sentencing.
