An open letter to our candidates
During this election cycle, I have had the honor of doing live shows with many of our area candidates running for regional, state, and congressional districts. I have also had the privilege of getting to know many of them personally.
It brings joy and happiness to my heart to say that getting to know many of them on a personal level has been one of the most satisfying parts of doing my job. I have found them each to be sincere, kind, caring, and engaged. You may agree or disagree w/ their political identification and/or politics, but, no fooling, these are good people that put themselves out there for public scrutiny on a daily basis. I dunno why they do it, but I’m glad they do.
Some of the best offline conversations I have are with these candidates. I cannot express how much I value these chats and how much I look forward to each and every one.
It’s a tough gig running for office. So thank you candidates for doing so and thank you for our chats and friendships.
No matter what the results are in this election cycle, know that you have my respect and appreciation.
