SPOONER, WI — Brayden Myer, a Republican candidate for Wisconsin Secretary of State, joined DrydenWire founder Ben Dryden on Thursday morning for a live, conversation-style discussion on DrydenWire Live.
The episode aired at 8:30a CST on DrydenWire’s Facebook page, where viewers tuned in and participated by submitting questions throughout the broadcast.
Unlike a traditional interview, the discussion offered a more relaxed, in-depth look at Myer as both a candidate and an individual, covering his background, motivations for running, and policy positions.
Myer, a lifelong Wisconsin resident and small business owner, spoke about his campaign’s focus on bringing what he described as “a new generation of leadership with a fresh perspective” to the Secretary of State’s office. He reiterated his commitment to increasing transparency, improving efficiency, and restoring trust in the office.
A key topic of conversation included Myer’s proposal to reform the role of Secretary of State to include oversight of elections, which he said would provide voters with a clearer line of accountability.
Myer also discussed his educational background, having graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in Political Science, along with multiple minors and a certificate in Organizational Development. He highlighted his previous experience as a congressional staffer and his involvement in grassroots and political organizations in Manitowoc County.
Thursday’s episode was part of the ongoing DrydenWire Live series, which features conversations with candidates, elected officials, and other newsmakers from across the region and state.
