Firefighters from Webster, assisted by Siren and St.Croix/Hertel Fire Departments, responded to a fire call at 8:32 a.m. Sunday, May 6 at 25114 Clamshell Lane on Lower Clam Lake east of Siren.
Webster Fire Chief Allen Steiner said the structure was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. It destroyed the home, contents, garage and a vehicle in the garage. The property is owned by brothers Robert and Michael Dreis.
Chief Steiner said, “The property owner said they started a car that was in storage in the attached garage. While the car was running, it started on fire. Before they could get it out of the garage, the building had ignited from the vehicle.”
Firefighters were on the scene until 2:54 p.m.
