BURNETT COUNTY — A Burnett County drug investigation that led to multiple arrests and the seizure of a large marijuana operation has resulted in another case being resolved in court.

Matthew Olson Jr. was sentenced on September 28, 2026, on the case filed against him following the June 2026 search of a Siren Township property where law enforcement reportedly found large quantities of marijuana, more than 50 growing plants, drug paraphernalia, and multiple firearms.

Olson Jr.’s court resolution follows the September sentencing of Nicholas Contreras, who pleaded guilty to a felony THC delivery charge stemming from two controlled buys conducted at a Siren bar. Contreras is still facing drug-related charges in a separate Polk County court case.

Olson Sr., who allegedly claimed responsibility for the marijuana operation, continues to face felony charges in Burnett County Circuit Court.
