Burnett County Pop-Up Food Distributions Scheduled in Grantsburg and Webb Lake

BURNETT COUNTY — Local partners are hosting two pop-up food distribution events to help Burnett County families access food close to home during the summer months, when school-based meal programs and backpack food programs are unavailable. The events, one each in Grantsburg and Webb Lake, are part of a community-led effort responding to ongoing food access challenges in the county.

Burnett County’s need is significant. The county’s food insecurity rate was 14% in 2023 (seventh-highest in Wisconsin), and 22.3% of Burnett County children are currently living in poverty (2025 Community Health Rankings).

Grantsburg Pop-Up Food Distribution: Tuesday, July 28, 3:00–6:00 PM at the Grantsburg Food Pantry.

Webb Lake Pop-Up Food Distribution: Thursday, July 30, 11:00 AM–12:30 PM at the Webb Lake Town Hall.

The events are supported in partnership with Family Pathways and the St. Croix Valley Food Bank. Pending a successful fundraising campaign, the community organizers’ goal is to add two additional pop-up food distribution events in August to reach more families during the months when summer food supports are limited.
