BURNETT COUNTY -- Burnett County Sheriff Ronald L Wilhelm Jr. announced this in a written statement this morning that he will not be seeking re-election.
I will not be seeking re-election as sheriff of Burnett County. At the end of this year I will be retiring from law enforcement. At that time, I will have served the people of Burnett County for over 27 years.
Sheriff Wilhelm added that he wishes the next sheriff "whoever that may be" the best of luck.
