BURNETT COUNTY — A Webster, WI, man with five prior OWI convictions is facing new felony charges after authorities say he drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle while intoxicated, resulting in a two-vehicle crash near Webster in June. Maurice Corbine, 49, allegedly admitted at the scene that he was drunk and should not have been driving.
Corbine’s latest case comes months after he completed a deferred agreement stemming from a 2020 attempted homicide case previously reported on by DrydenWire. At the time of the June crash, Corbine was also out on bond on a separate Barron County cocaine possession case. He is due to appear next in Burnett County Court in September 2026.
