MADISON, WI -- Chanz Green (R- Grand View) was sworn in for his first term in the state Assembly Tuesday. This marks the first time a Republican has represented this seat in over 35 years.
“I am truly humbled and honored to represent the people of the 74th Assembly District,” Green said. “My constituents will always be my first priority, and I will work hard to make sure their voices are heard.”
Green is set to sit on several legislative committees. He has been appointed to the Assembly committees on Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Forestry, Parks, and Outdoor Recreation, Rural Development, Sporting Heritage, and will serve as the vice-chair on State Affairs.
“There is a lot of work to do,” Green concluded. “But with the support of the people back home, I am confident we will accomplish some great things.”

The 74th Assembly District covers all of Ashland, Bayfield, Iron, and Price counties, and it includes parts of Douglas and Sawyer counties.
