POLK COUNTY -- Charges filed against Ellysa Bosak in Polk County Circuit Court have been formally dismissed, while the associated criminal case against Jason Bosak is proceeding toward trial.
Ellysa had been charged in December 2025 with felony failure to protect a child and misdemeanor counts of witness intimidation stemming from allegations tied to the investigation into Jason. However, on March 26, 2026, the Court granted a motion by the State and ordered the case dismissed.
Jason, who faces a charge of first-degree child sexual assault, remains bound over for trial following a finding of probable cause after his preliminary hearing. A three-day jury trial in his case is currently scheduled for August 2026.
