Chetek Man Charged with ‘Controlled Buy’ Meth Investigation in Barron County

Chetek, WI man Quinlan Thomas, is charged in Barron County Circuit Court with 2 counts of Class F Felony Manufacture or Deliver Amphetamine.

A press release from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office in December 2017 stated that a lengthy investigation during which a confidential informant purchased methamphetamine from Thomas at Chetek Realty had culminated with the execution of a search warrant at that business and the arrest of Thomas.

Online circuit court records show that at a preliminary examination hearing on January 25, 2018,, the Court heard testimony from Barron County law enforcement and found probable cause to bind Thomas’s case over for trial.

In addition, the Court also found probable cause to bind a second case over for trial in which Thomas is charged with Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine from an incident which occurred on November 29, 2017. Details of that case are not known to DrydenWire.com at this time.

Thomas is under conditions of signature bail bonds on both of his criminal cases.

Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
