CHIPPEWA COUNTY — Melanie S. Schrader, 47, of Chippewa Falls, WI was arrested on Thursday in regarding a murder-for-hire plot, according to a press release from the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office.
(Press Release) — On Thursday, September 12th, 2019, at about 11:00am, members of the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation, and the Chippewa Falls Police Department, took a 47 year of old Melanie S Schrader of Chippewa Falls into custody regarding a murder for hire investigation.
Officers learned that Schrader wanted to have a male acquaintance killed, and, after speaking with Schrader a meeting was arranged. During this meeting, Schrader provided money, an address, and a photograph of the person she wanted killed.
Melanie Schrader was taken into custody without incident.
A bond hearing for Melanie Schrader will take place this morning at 10:30 am.
