A film screening of “Church of Felons: The True Story of Addiction, Loss and Redemption,” is planned for Friday, April 27, at 6:30 pm at the Rice Lake High School auditorium, made possible by the Rice Lake Ministerial Association in partnership with the Rice Lake Sheriff’s Department and Washburn County Health & Human Services.
The documentary, which has won numerous awards, follows the stories of four men in Polk County. While the film details the addictions prevalent in northwest Wisconsin, it is filled with hope about recovery that is possible. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.churchoffelons.com/ricelake or at Marketplace Foods in Rice Lake. All ticket proceeds will go to support local recovery groups including Compassion Connection (Shell Lake) and GAP (Rice Lake).
