SPOONER, WI -- A citywide power outage was reported in the City of Spooner this morning, Thursday, December 3, 2020.
Reports of the outage began shortly before 9a. The City of Spooner posted on their Facebook page shortly after 9a that they were aware of the citywide power outage and that the power should be restored very soon. At the time of this post, most residents are reporting power has been restored.
Initial investigation into the incident suggests the culprit to be a rodent from part of the Sciuridae family, according to Spooner Fire Chief, Darren Vik. A photo was not available at the time of this post but an equal representation of the alleged can be viewed below.
**UPDATE** The current status of the suspect is unknown, however, family members close to the alleged culprit tell DrydenWire that, “it doesn’t look good.”
Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
