SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A quiet winter afternoon in rural Sawyer County turned into a homicide investigation after deputies were called to a Radisson Township home and discovered a woman had been brutally stabbed to death. The discovery of blood-stained weapons, footprints in the snow, and information of a former resident identified as a suspect led to the arrest of Yevhen Kravchenko, age 37, a short time later.
Kravchenko was placed on a $1M cash bond, and during a recent court hearing, was ordered to undergo a competency examination by the Court.
