Convicted Sex Offender To Be Released In Polk County

In accordance with Wisconsin State Statute 301.46(2m), it has been determined that the following information regarding Fred Wade should be released to the local media. Mr. Wade will be released to the community on 6/4/19. Mr. Wade will be residing at the Apple River Country Inn, located at 977 US-8, Room 4, Amery, WI 54001, and will be under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

In 1998, Mr. Wade was convicted of Child Enticement-Sexual Contact. Mr. Wade will be placed on intensive supervision for a period of time and he will be on Extended Supervision for approximately six (6) years; during this time required to reside in Polk County. Mr. Wade will be on GPS monitoring for the remainder of his life while residing in Wisconsin and is required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for life. Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; but it wasn’t until Act 440 in 1997 which enabled law enforcement to share this information with the community. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.
