SAWYER COUNTY -- The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office has issued a news release stating that twice-convicted sex offender Ralph Falkner is scheduled to be released in Sawyer County on February 12, 2020.
Falkner was first convicted of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child in April 2000 in Pierce County Circuit Court. Online circuit court records indicate that he was sentenced to serve 5 weeks in county jail and 10 years of probation.
In October 2004, new charges of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault were filed against Falkner in Pierce County Circuit Court. His probation was revoked following that, and Falkner was ultimately sentenced to serve 20 years in State Prison.
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office release states that Falkner is considered a person who may present a risk to re-offend. Falkner is required to register as a Sex Offender for the remainder of his life.
The Department of Corrections will maintain close supervision of Falkner and he will be required to comply with a GPS monitoring system.
Falkner is also prohibited from having any contact with minors, or any contact with victims.
Falkner will be residing at 12138 N. Pine Hollow Trail, Hayward, WI 54843.
