RUSK COUNTY — Three criminal cases filed in Rusk County Circuit Court against a contractor for Felony Theft by Contractor have concluded with a plea deal. Matthew Krienke (43), formerly of Ladysmith, WI, and owner of J&M Remodeling and Contracting, was charged with multiple counts of felony theft by contractor following complaints from homeowners who say they paid Krienke for substantial renovation projects that were never finished.
The Hon. Judge Annette Barna accepted a settlement negotiation regarding three Rusk County court cases and sentenced Krienke during a May 11, 2026, court hearing.
