RUSK COUNTY — The Court has accepted a settlement agreement in a felony case filed against Stephanie Christianson (35) of Ladysmith, WI, for allegedly recording a closed-door Rusk County Board meeting.
Felony charges were filed in 2025 against both Alan Christianson (38), also of Ladysmith, WI, and his sister, Stephanie.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Rusk County Circuit Court, investigators say Stephanie secretly recorded audio of the private session while lingering outside the boardroom and relayed the details in real time to her brother, Alan, through dozens of Facebook messages and calls.
The case was uncovered after an anonymous records request produced hours of lobby surveillance video. Alan was listed on the Ladymith, WI City Page as the City Administrator.
