Court Sentences Man Convicted of Child Enticement In Polk County

POLK COUNTY -- The Court has ordered prison time for a man convicted of child enticement in Polk County.

DrydenWire.com previously reported in February 2020, that Kaj Juergensen was facing criminal charges after Juergensen contacted Law Enforcement in January 2020, stating that he had ‘done something bad’. Juergensen told Law Enforcement that he after viewing pornography on his cell phone, he then had sexual contact with a minor.

At a recent hearing, the Court sentenced Juergensen on a conviction of Class D Felony Child Enticement - Sexual Contact. This was amended from a charge of Class C Felony Incest With Child. The remaining charges of Class G Felony 3rd Degree Sexual Assault and Misdemeanor Sexual Intercourse with Child 16 or Older, Actor 19 or Older were dismissed but read in at a hearing in June 2020. Details of the settlement of the case were not included in online circuit court records.

The Court ordered a 15-year sentence for Juergensen; 10 years of initial confinement in state prison followed by 5 years of extended supervision. Juergensen is ordered to follow through with sex offender treatment and will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
